Rams WR Shaun McDonald had four catches for 50 yards and a four-yard TD in the team’s second preseason game Saturday night.
McDonald may have an outside shot at overtaking Kevin Curtis for the No. 3 receiver role. Rams head coach Scott Linehan intends for Curtis, who had two catches for 38 yards, to be a staple on special teams.
  • PIT Wide Receiver
Rams WR Shaun McDonald will be the team’s punt returner.
He struggled in the role last year. McDonald is also the team’s number four receiver, but will probably get more playing time then nearly any fourth receiver in the league.
  • PIT Wide Receiver
Shaun McDonald caught three passes for 33 yards as the Rams No. 3 receiver in week nine.
He had Troy Brown covering him most of the day.
  • PIT Wide Receiver
Shaun McDonald will likely move up to the No. 3 receiver spot this weekend.
McDonald has played well and will get a chance to shine with Dane Looker likely out. Considering the match-up versus the depleted Patriots secondary, McDonald is an interesting pickup this week.
  • PIT Wide Receiver
Shaun McDonald caught six passes for 79 yards and a touchdown in week 12.
The Rams’ No. 3 receiver is gaining Marc Bulger’s confidence. He has caught 12 passes for 151 yards in the last two weeks.
  • PIT Wide Receiver
Shaun McDonald had seven catches for 73 yards in week one.
Marc Bulger spread the ball out well in the opener. Three receivers had seven-plus receptions. It will be tough for McDonald, the team’s four receiver, to have many games like this.
  • PIT Wide Receiver
Shaun McDonald was held without a catch in week three.
His fantasy value still has inched up this week. With Isaac Bruce possibly out a while, McDonald should become the team’s third receiver.
  • PIT Wide Receiver
Shaun McDonald caught nine passes for 121 yards Sunday against the Giants.
McDonald entered the game with just eight receptions and 84 yards through three games, including a no-catch performance last week. The absence of Isaac Bruce gave him a lot more playing time.
  • PIT Wide Receiver
Shaun McDonald caught five passes for 55 yards in week five.
McDonald is worth using in the right matchup while Isaac Bruce is hurt. Next week against the Colts is not one of those matchups.
  • PIT Wide Receiver
Shaun McDonald was held without a catch in week six.
Despite consistent performances this month, it appears that McDonald was passed on the depth chart by Dane Looker, who played more on Monday night.
