Eagles signed CB Tanard Davis off the Panthers’ practice squad.
Davis has bounced around since being an undrafted free agent in 2006. He’s unlikely to play much in the regular season finale, barring injuries.
  • TEN Defensive Back
Rams signed CB Tanard Davis, formerly of the Eagles.
Davis will have to do something special, but actually has a chance to make the club due to Justin King’s season-ending injury. He’d be their fifth CB.
  • WAS Wide Receiver
Rams waived WR Marques Hagans, S Jerome Carter, WR Matt Caddell, TE Nick Cleaver, CB Tanard Davis, CB Cortney Grixby, C Donovan Raiola, LB Marcus Riley, and DLs Henry Smith and Willie Williams.
Hagans saw time on punt returns and caught eight passes last year, but he’s no more than a slot receiver with suspect hands. Carter was a fourth-round pick in 2005 and could contribute elsewhere on special teams.
  • LA Defensive Lineman
Eagles released DT LaJuan Ramsey, LB Gary Butler, DT Jeremy Clark, CB Tanard Davis, WR Terrell Golden, QB Casey Hansen, DE Xzavie Jackson, DE A.J. Schable and LB Markell Staffieri.
There is a new 80-man roster limit heading into camp, so we will get an early round of cuts over the next few weeks. Ramsey once was part of the Eagles defensive tackle rotation two years back.
  • TEN Wide Receiver
Titans signed WR Craphonso Thorpe, OL Fernando Velasco, OL Jason Murphy, OL Doug Datish, OL Peter Clifford, DE Charles Bennett, TE Matthew Mulligan, CB Christian Morton, DE Derrick Jones, and CB Tanard Davis to reserve/futures contracts.
This is Thorpe’s seventh team in the past three seasons, and he’s likely no more than a camp body.
