Not a great sign for the Bucs offense. Tampa has been hurt by injuries on their O-line during camp. Steussie was a cap casualty only a week and a half ago.

That was his position in Minnesota, but Tampa Bay tried him at right tackle last year. ''Last year I tried to do something that I thought would work, and it never quite took the way I hoped it would,’' Steussie said. ''It’s nice to be back on the other side playing my natural position. That’s always been my comfort zone.’'

He has not attended the last two weeks of OTAs in Tampa, likely at the request of the team. The Bucs have the potential to make at least one more cut. They currently have more cap problems than any NFL team.

Why can’t they just release the guy already? It should happen shortly.

The accused steroid user may not have a future in the league. The Bucs may need to make more cuts to sign Cadillac Williams.

Originally placed on season-ending injured reserve, the Rams used a five-day window to work out an injury settlement, leaving the door open for his return. Likely out for at least two months following foot surgery, Steussie is eligible to rejoin the Rams in November and can sign with another team at any time.

He’s expected to be out for six-to-eight weeks and is a candidate for injured reserve. Steussie was to be the Rams’ top swing lineman this season.

He’ll miss eight-to-ten weeks if he stays on the active roster.

Steussie was going to be a back-up this season, but his loss hurts the depth of the Rams’ offensive line.

Steussie broke his foot during the preseason and was let go with an injury settlement, but the Rams now desperately need help on the offensive line. “Our goal now is, without moving somebody, to try to put somebody in there at the right guard spot,” coach Scott Linehan said. “With the idea that when Steussie comes back, he’ll play right guard or right tackle at some point.”
