Earlier on Friday, Eagles receiver A.J. Brown said, “I’m playing,” when reporters asked about the knee injury that was added to Thursday’s practice report.

Now, Friday’s injury report echoes Brown’s assessment.

Brown has no game status for Sunday’s game against Washington and is expected to play.

Brown was limited in practice on Thursday and Friday. He has recorded 56 catches for 946 yards with five touchdowns.

The Eagles will not activate defensive end Bryce Huff off of injured reserve this weekend, as he’s been ruled out with his wrist injury. Huff was limited in practice all week.

Receiver Britain Covey (neck) is also out, despite being a full participant in practice this week.

Safety Sydney Brown (concussion) is questionable. He didn’t practice Wednesday, was limited on Thursday, and was a full participant on Friday.

Quarterback Jalen Hurts (left finger), receiver DeVonta Smith, and guard Landon Dickerson (knee/rest) are all off the report and are set to play.

Eagles receiver A.J. Brown had a knee injury designation added to Thursday’s practice report, but he’s not planning on it sidelining him for Sunday’s game against the Commanders.

I’m playing,” Brown said Friday, via Tim McManus of ESPN.

Brown, who was limited on Thursday, said he wasn’t quite sure what happened. But he doesn’t expect whatever it is to affect him.

“I was fine after the game. Fine the next day. Fine the day after that,” Brown said, noting that it could’ve been something that built up over time. “You find a way to get through it and play through stuff.”

Brown added that at this time of year, no one is healthy.

In 11 games this year, Brown has caught 56 passes for 946 yards with five touchdowns.

Philadelphia’s full injury report with game statuses will be released later on Friday.

Defensive tackle Jonathan Allen returned to practice this week, but his return to game action will have to wait a little longer.

Commanders head coach Dan Quinn said at his Friday press conference that Allen will not play against the Eagles on Sunday. Allen is on injured reserve after tearing his pectoral earlier this season and his return to practice came as a bit of surprise because the team initially said that his season was over.

The Commanders can clinch a playoff spot this weekend with a win and losses by the Falcons and either the Seahawks or Rams. If they don’t, they will have a chance to do so against the Falcons in Week 17.

Quinn said that no other Commanders players have been ruled out. Tight end Zach Ertz and safety Jeremy Chinn are both trying to clear the concussion protocol in time to play on Sunday.

The bill that would authorize D.C. to do a deal for a new facility at the site of RFK Stadium is dead. For now.

The provision has disappeared from wide-ranging legislation that would avoid a government shutdown, via Eric Flack of WUSA9.com. More recently, the renegotiated deal was rejected by the House of Representatives.

The previous bipartisan effort was derailed by President-elect Trump and Elon Musk, who specifically targeted the RFK Stadium provision on Wednesday.

Although the bill devoted no taxpayer money to the construction of the stadium, does anyone really think Commanders owner Josh Harris will pay for all of it himself? The vast majority of NFL owners pursue private-public financing for stadium construction and renovation.

So even if the current bill didn’t devote federal funds to the project, it’s just a matter of time before public money would be requested.

For now, none of that matters. There’s no bill to allow D.C. to use the situation for a new stadium.

The mood nationwide has changed in recent years against giving handouts to assist in the construction of sports stadiums. The ongoing explosion in the value of NFL franchises makes the argument that anyone but the teams and their owners should pay for new or upgraded stadiums a lot harder.

Whenever such measures are put on a ballot, they fail. The NFL nevertheless has managed to get elected officials to keep finding ways to justify kicking taxpayer money into the pot. It’s possible that those days are ending.

The Cowboys remain alive for a playoff berth. They need to win games and to hope the Commanders lose.

On Sunday, the Commanders face the Eagles. It will help the Cowboys if the Eagles win.

Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons doesn’t want the Eagles’ help.

At this point, it’s fuck Philly, now,” Parsons told reporters on Thursday, via Clarence E. Hill, Jr. of All City DLLS. “Even if we got eliminated, like, I gotta crush Philly. Fuck them. I hate them now. I be seeing them just talking so much on socials. I don’t know, my Twitter page got consumed by Philly [fans]. Man, ugh. They say don’t look forward to some things but I’m excited about the matchup [next week], too.”

Next week, the Cowboys and the Eagles play in Philadelphia. The home crowd will surely be giving Parsons a special reception.

Especially if he wears that Santa suit.
