Elana Meyers and Lolo Jones posted the fastest times in each of two sets of runs to win a North American Cup stop in Park City, Utah, on Friday.

Meyers and Jones clocked a two-run total of 1 minute, 39.19 seconds, topping U.S. teammates Jamie Greubel and Emily Azevedo by .14 of a second.

The other two U.S. sleds, Bree Schaaf and Tracey Stewart, and Jazmine Fenlator and Lauryn Williams, placed fourth and eighth.

The North American Cup is a lower-level circuit. The World Cup begins in Calgary, Alberta, on Nov. 30. World Cup results will determine if the U.S. qualifies three two-woman sleds for Sochi, as it is expected to do.

Meyers, Greubel, Fenlator and Schaaf were the top four U.S. pilots going into this season, in that order. Meyers won a 2010 Olympic bronze medal as a push athlete.

The top two U.S. push athletes are Aja Evans and Katie Eberling. Azevedo and Jones were the third and fourth push athletes last season. Evans, Eberling and Azevedo were picked over Jones to compete in the World Championships two-woman event in February.

Meyers and Evans won a North American Cup race on the same track on Thursday, followed by Greubel and Eberling and Schaaf and Cherrelle Garrett. Fenlator and Williams were seventh.

Evans, Eberling and Garrett were subbed out for Jones, Azevedo and Stewart on Friday. Williams, a three-time Olympic sprinter in her first season of bobsled, was kept in the lineup.
