Lindsey Vonn, who opened up about her struggle with depression two years ago, still has “good days and bad days,” she told German magazine Focus.

The 2010 Olympic downhill champion, who turned 30 on Saturday, said she takes medication daily and that intense training can trigger depression.

Vonn has not skied since aggravating a knee injury last December. She hopes to return to the Alpine skiing World Cup circuit at Lake, Louise, Alberta, in the first week of December.

The tour starts without her with a giant slalom in Soelden, Austria, this weekend.
