Watch trailer for Mikaela Shiffrin documentary airing on NBCSN

NBCSN will air a one-hour documentary on the world’s best Alpine skier -- “Mikaela Shiffrin: Peak Season” on Monday at 11 p.m. ET.

From NBC Sports PR:

A film crew from Red Bull Media House followed Shiffrin around the world, from Paris, to Chile, to Utah, and caught a glimpse of the tremendous success and attention the 22-year-old received during her 2017 season. The candid documentary shows the hours of work, the occasional mental and emotional struggle that comes along with being expected to win, and the fun side of being a young woman growing up in a highly abnormal situation.

Shiffrin became the youngest Olympic slalom champion in Sochi at age 18.

She has since blossomed into the world’s best all-around skier, winning last season’s World Cup overall title and opening a huge lead in this season’s standings, including a run of 10 wins in 14 starts.

Shiffrin is the Olympic favorite in slalom, giant slalom and the super combined. She could match the single-Games record of three Alpine gold medals.

Her first race in PyeongChang -- the giant slalom -- is scheduled for Feb. 12.
