Snowboard slopestyle gold medalist Sage Kotsenburg of the U.S. got a nice surprise when a traveler offered him his plane ticket so he could get home to visit his parents.
America’s new king of “spoice,” who’s been making the rounds since becoming the first gold medal winner of the Sochi Olympics, thanked the man on Twitter afterwards and explained why he was so desperate to see his Mom and Dad:
A man gave me his ticket so I could get on a flight home to see my mom and dad tonight! Gregory Keller words can not describe! THANK YOU!!!

Kotsenburg has become one of Team USA’s biggest stars from Sochi since his victory, with his popularity seemingly growing by the minute.
