For the second Olympics, women will compete in what should prove to be a wild and unpredictable ski cross event. The qualifying kicks off at 2:45 a.m. ET while the final round begins at 4:30 a.m. ET:

The men’s U.S. side didn’t make it far, but there aren’t any United States competitors among the women in this event.

Canada’s Marielle Thompson is the reigning gold medalist. France might just mop up more medals in ski cross as Marion Josserand is another contender. Really, this is a pretty unpredictable event, which is also part of its charm.
