SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Nev., July 12, 2023 – This week, the American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament will feature one of its strongest fields in tournament history, headlined by defending champion Tony Romo, Stephen, Dell and Seth Curry, Annika Sorenstam, Patrick Mahomes, Miles Teller, Aaron Rodgers and Charles Barkley.
NBC, Peacock and GOLF Channel will televise coverage Friday-Sunday, July 14-16, with NBC Sports surrounding tournament coverage all week in delivering robust linear and digital coverage.

ELITE FIELD OF 93 ACROSS SPORTS AND ENTERTAINMENT: A field of 93 participants across the worlds of sports and entertainment will compete in the 54-hole tournament, taking place at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course on the shores of Lake Tahoe. All told, the field collectively represents 17 Hall of Famers, 19 active athletes (NBA, NFL, NHL and WWE), multiple Cy Young, Players of the Year, Grammy and Emmy Award winners.

EIGHT FIRST-TIME PARTICIPANTS: A total of eight first-time participants will compete in the 2023 American Century Championship, including Davante Adams, Nate Bargatze, Dexter Fowler, Mike Golic, Alex Killorn, Zach LaVine, Hally Leadbetter and Baker Mayfield.
SORENSTAM HEADLINES WOMEN IN FIELD: World Golf Hall-of-Famer Annika Sorenstam, who competed in her final US. Women’s Open last week at Pebble Beach, will compete in the American Century Championship for a fourth time (2014, 2021, 2022), She will be joined by TODAY Show anchor/meteorologist Dylan Dreyer, golf personality Hally Leadbetter and NBC Sports reporter Kathryn Tappen.
NBC SPORTS BROADCAST TEAM: Host Steve Sands and analyst Peter Jacobsen will anchor NBC Sports’ live tournament coverage from Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course. They will be joined by Jimmy Roberts as a hole announcer, along with Roger Maltbie and John Wood reporting from the course. Kira K. Dixon will conduct interviews with players in the field throughout the championship.
DRONE CAM AND BOAT CAM HIGHLIGHTS NBC SPORTS PRODUCTION ENHANCEMENTS: NBC Sports will enhance the broadcast coverage of the American Century Championship this week with eight cameras capturing the action on the popular par-3 17th that is situated alongside Lake Tahoe. Featured enhancements include drone coverage during all three days of tournament action over the lake; a boat cam anchored off of the 17th tee box presented by Discover Boating, and Toptracer tracing the tee shots on 17, allowing for unique camera angles and perspectives during tournament coverage.
TODAY SHOW, CNBC, NBC SPORTS REGIONAL NETWORKS AND NBC LOCAL AFFILIATES SURROUND COVERAGE: Wednesday-Friday leading up to the opening round of coverage, the TODAY Show, CNBC, NBC Sports Regional Networks and local NBC affiliates across the country will prepare viewers for live coverage with interviews from Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course with players in the field.

The new agreement comes as the 2023 event kicks off this week, celebrating American Century’s 25th year as title sponsor.
