STAMFORD, Conn. – July 30, 2026 – Four-time WNBA MVP A’ja Wilson, three-time WNBA All-Star Angel Reese, and 11-time WNBA All-Star Nneka Ogwumike lead NBC Sports’ WNBA doubleheader this week across NBC, Peacock, and NBCSN. In the first game, Ogwumike and the Los Angeles Sparks visit the Portland Fire at Moda Center in Portland, Ore., this Sunday, Aug. 2, at 3:30 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock, followed on Monday with Wilson and the defending champion Las Vegas Aces at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Ga., at 7 p.m. ET on Peacock and NBCSN.
Live coverage for both games begins with WNBA Showtime, featuring Naismith Basketball Hall of Famers and analysts Sue Bird and Cheryl Miller and host Maria Taylor.
SPARKS-FIRE
Led by veteran and 2016 WNBA MVP Nneka Ogwumike, the Sparks (10-17) narrowly fell to the New York Liberty, 113-109, on Tuesday. 2022 first round pick Rae Burrell had a season-high 24 points while Ogwumike added a game-high nine assists. Ogwumike, in her 15th WNBA season, ranks seventh in the league in rebounding (8.9 RPG). Los Angeles also features 2024 No. 2 overall pick Cameron Brink, who was a 2021 NCAA champion and 2024 Naismith Defensive Player of the Year during her four-year collegiate career at Stanford, and two-time WNBA Sixth Woman of the Year Dearica Hamby.
The Fire (11-17) are led by Carla Leite, a 2024 first round draft pick in her first season with the team, who ranks eighth in the WNBA in assists (5.9 APG), and 2022 No. 4 overall pick Emily Engstler who ranks fourth in blocks (1.6 BPG). Portland is coming off a loss to the Aces on Tuesday, where 2025 WNBA champion Megan DiLeo scored a team-high 20 points to go along with Engstler’s team-high 10 rebounds.

ACES-DREAM
Wilson and the Las Vegas Aces (19-8) visit Reese and the Atlanta Dream (17-10) at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Ga., this Monday, Aug. 3, at 7 p.m. ET on Peacock and NBCSN.
Wilson is amid another MVP-caliber season, leading the league in scoring (26.2 PPG) and blocks (2.0 BPG) while also ranking fourth in rebounds (9.7 RPG). Wilson’s running mate, guard Jackie Young, ranks top 15 in both scoring and assists. Both Wilson and Young are coming off appearances in the 2026 WNBA All-Star Game, their eighth and fifth career selections, respectively. The Aces are coming off a 15-point win over the Fire on Tuesday, where Wilson had a game-high 28 points on 7-10 shooting from the field to go along with 14 rebounds.
In her debut season in Atlanta after spending the first two seasons of her career in Chicago, Reese ranks second in the WNBA in rebounds (11.5 RPG) after leading the league in the category the prior two campaigns. Tied with the Fever and Lynx, the Dream had a league-high three All-Star selections in last week’s game: Reese and four-time WNBA All-Stars Allisha Gray and Rhyne Howard. Winners of four consecutive games, the Dream overcame a 15-point deficit on Wednesday to defeat the Wings, 82-81.
