BETHESDA, Md. – April 13, 2017 – CSN Mid-Atlantic will provide comprehensive multiplatform coverage of the Washington Wizards’ 2017 first-round playoff series against the Atlanta Hawks, highlighted by live coverage of the first six potential games, beginning with Game 1 on Sunday, April 16, at 1 p.m.
CSN’s live-game coverage, along with pregame and postgame shows, will continue to be available on CSNmidatlantic.com and the NBC Sports app during the playoffs.
CSN will surround all first-round games with more than two hours of live Wizards news, analysis, commentary and entertainment with one-hour editions of Wizards GameTime before games and expanded postgame coverage on Wizards Extra and the new Wizards Overtime. Extensive coverage will also be delivered throughout the postseason across CSN’s online, mobile and social media platforms, led by CSNmidatlantic.com.
CSN’s Wizards postseason coverage tips off Friday, April 14, at approximately 1:30 p.m. when CSNmidatlantic.com will stream live coverage of Wizards practice from Verizon Center. The coverage will also be presented on CSN as a 30-minute special, Wizards Practice Live, that night at 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
CSN’s multiple daily editions of Geico SportsNet Central also provide expanded coverage of the Wizards during the playoffs. Wizards-related talk, debate and interviews will also be featured on Geico SportsTalk Live each weeknight and on 106.7 The Fan’s Sports Junkies weekdays from 6 to 10 a.m.
LIVE GAME COVERAGE
CSN’s live coverage of the series will begin with Game 1 on Sunday, April 16, at 1 p.m. at Verizon Center. CSN will also present Game 2 on April 19 at 7 p.m. (CSN Plus), Game 3 on April 22 at 5:30 p.m. and Game 4 on April 24 at 8 p.m. If necessary, CSN will also present Game 5 on April 26 and Game 6 on April 28. Television information for Game 7 on April 30 has not been announced. Play-by-play announcer Steve Buckhantz, analyst Phil Chenier and reporter Chris Miller will continue to lead CSN’s live-game coverage in the postseason.

One-hour editions of Wizards GameTime will lead in to every postseason matchup, with expanded versions of Wizards Extra providing postgame analysis, commentary and fan interaction for at least 45 minutes. For home games, both programs will be live from Verizon Center.
Wizards GameTime and Wizards Extra will be hosted alternately by Chick Hernandez and Julie Donaldson and will feature analysts Tony Massenburg, Ron Thompson and Christy Winters Scott, as well as Wizards Insider J. Michael and other contributors.
New this postseason is Wizards Overtime, which will follow Wizards Extra after games for a half hour. The high-energy, interactive format will take a fan-focused approach to covering the game’s top moments and most compelling storylines. Wizards Overtime will feature a rotating group of personalities and insiders, including Travis Thomas and ESPN 980’s Bram Weinstein.
