COMMENTATORS
NBC Sports’ cycling play-by-play caller Phil Liggett, universally known as the ‘voice of cycling,’ will cover his 54th Tour de France alongside analyst Bob Roll. Liggett and Roll will be on-site at each stage, along with reporters Steve Porino and former professional cyclist Christian Vande Velde, who rode the Tour on 11 occasions between 1999 and 2013.
Paul Burmeister will host daily pre-race and post-race studio coverage alongside analysts Brent Bookwalter and Tejay van Garderen, who also raced in the Tour, four and nine times, respectively.
Bookwalter and van Garderen will also provide reaction, insight, and analysis following every day of the event on Tour de France: Beyond the Podium on Peacock.

- Interactive maps that track rider locations in real time along the route and highlight the stage terrain profile.
- Vande Velde will have a camera focused on him as he reports to offer real-time updates on race situations, while traveling aboard a motorcycle on the course.

PEACOCK DEBUTS TWO NEW PHIL LIGGETT FIVE-PART MINISERIES: THE PHIL LIGGETT STORY AND BEYOND THE PODIUM: THROUGH PHIL’S EYES
NBC Sports debuted two new five-part Peacock original miniseries about longtime cycling play-by-play broadcaster Phil Liggett — The Phil Liggett Story and Beyond the Podium: Through Phil’s Eyes — as Liggett prepares to cover his 54th Tour de France. Both miniseries are available now on Peacock and NBC Sports’ YouTube Channel.
The Phil Liggett Story: A new five-part Peacock original series, The Phil Liggett Story celebrates the life and career of Liggett, who has called more editions of the Tour de France than any other broadcaster.
In one-on-one conversations with NBC Sports host Paul Burmeister, Liggett reflects on his childhood, his path into broadcasting, and the experiences that shaped him into the voice most synonymous with the Tour. The series offers viewers a behind-the-microphone look at the man who has brought cycling’s most famous race to generations of fans around the world.
Beyond the Podium: Through Phil’s Eyes: In Beyond the Podium: Through Phil’s Eyes, Liggett reflects on five of the most recognizable and influential figures in cycling history: Eddy Merckx, Greg LeMond, Lance Armstrong, Mark Cavendish, and Tadej Pogačar.
As the only broadcaster to have called the careers of all five cyclists, Liggett offers a unique perspective shaped by decades spent covering the sport’s biggest moments. Through personal stories, behind-the-scenes memories, and first-hand observations, viewers get to know each rider not only as a competitor but as a person through the eyes of the voice who chronicled their journeys.
