STAMFORD, Conn. – Aug. 14, 2026 – Two-time WNBA All-Star Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings (20-14) visit 2026 WNBA All-Star Gabby Williams and the Golden State Valkyries (24-9) from Chase Center in San Francisco, Calif., this Monday, Aug. 17, at 10 p.m. ET on Peacock and NBCSN. Dallas is led by its 2026 All-Star trio of Bueckers, 2026 No. 1 overall pick Azzi Fudd, and Jessica Shepard, the latter of whom ranks second in the WNBA in rebounding (11.4 RPG) and is one of only two players averaging double-digit boards. Bueckers, a two-time WNBA All-Star and the 2025 Kia WNBA Rookie of the Year, and Fudd are the respective 2025 and 2026 No. 1 overall picks and played at UConn together, where they won the 2025 NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Tournament. Bueckers is amid another All-WNBA-caliber season, ranking top 10 in both scoring and assists, and was recently named to the 2026 USA Basketball Women’s National Team. Bueckers and four-time WNBA All-Star Arike Ogunbowale combined for 43 points in Dallas’ six-point win over Toronto on Wednesday.
Golden State have won eight of their last 10 games, ranking second in the WNBA standings and trailing only the Minnesota Lynx by three games. Williams is having a career year, leading the team in scoring (14.6 PPG) and steals (1.6 SPG) and earning her first career All-Star selection. The Valkyries are the best defensive team in the WNBA, holding their opponents to only 76.9 points per game; the second-ranked Mystics stand at 82.7 points per game. The Valkyries defeated the Sky by 20 points on Wednesday, with five players scoring in double figures, for Golden State’s fifth consecutive win – the longest-such streak in the WNBA.
