Guilmet was booted from the Marlins’ 40-man roster earlier this month and has opted to search for a new opportunity in free agency this offseason. The 34-year-old righty made two relief appearances at the big-league level this season.

Guilmet made only two appearances for the Fish in 2021 after joining the organization on a minor league contract in mid-April. The 34-year-old right-hander is officially off the 40-man roster.

The 34-year-old hurler will add an extra arm to the Marlins bullpen for the final weekend of the season. He registered a 3.78 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 67/13 K/BB ratio over 52 1/3 innings at Triple-A this season.

Guilmet cleared waivers after being designated for assignment earlier this week. The 34-year-old righty fired a scoreless inning on July 28 in his lone appearance at the major-league level this season. He’ll continue to serve as organizational relief depth moving forward.

Guilmet clears room on the 40-man roster for Alex Jackson. The right-hander will likely go unclaimed and report back to Triple-A Jacksonville.

The 33-year-old was desingated for assignment back on July 11 before being sent outright to Triple-A Jacksonville. Guilmet is likely a temporary fill-in on the Marlins roster and has not pitched in the major leagues since 2018.

Guilmet was designated for assignment on Saturday and ultimately passed through waivers unclaimed. The 33-year-old right-hander hasn’t appeared in a game at the MLB level since 2018.

The 33-year-old has not made a major league appearance since 2018, but posted a 3.35 ERA and 0.87 WHIP this season in Triple-A Jacksonville over 25 1/3 innings with 34 strikeouts. It’s possible another major league team takes a chance on Guilmet.

Guilmet has been summoned from Triple-A Jacksonville to give the Marlins’ overworked bullpen a fresh arm heading into Saturday’s contest against the Braves. The 33-year-old righty was called up earlier this season, but didn’t make an appearance. He last appeared in the majors with the Cardinals and Blue Jays back in 2018.

The Marlins needed to add Trevor Rogers back to the 40-man and 26-man roster after being activated from the injured list, and Guilment was a roster casualty.
