    Falcons signed OL Rees Odhiambo.
The Falcons lost OG Brandon Fusco to a season-ending injury on Monday Night Football, so Odhimabo has been added onto the Falcons active roster. As a tackle with the Seahawks in 2017, Odhimabo earned PFF’s third-worst tackle grade out of 83 qualifiers.

Seahawks signed No. 97 overall pick OG Rees Odhiambo to a four-year contract.
Odhiambo might not participate in rookie minicamp as he recovers from an October ankle fracture, but he is expected to push for a starting job early. A tackle at Boise State, he will compete with Justin Britt, Germain Ifedi, and Mark Glowinski for a starting spot at guard. Seattle’s offensive line remains a mess.

Seahawks third-round pick Rees Odhiambo is expected to compete with Mark Glowinski for the starting left guard position.
Justin Britt played left guard in 2015, but he’s moved over to center. First-round pick Germain Ifedi is replacing J.R. Sweezy at the right guard position, leaving left guard up for grabs. Russell Wilson has endured 87 quarterback sacks over the last two seasons. With so many moving parts, the offensive line is going to be a problem for the Seahawks again in 2016.

The Seahawks will give 2016 third-round pick Rees Odhiambo the first crack at winning their starting left tackle job.
The Seahawks are looking for a replacement after losing George Fant (ACL). At 6-foot-4, 314 with 33 1/4-inch arms, Odhiambo lacks optimal left tackle size but isn’t terribly far off the typical size thresholds. Either way, the Seahawks’ offensive line is likely to be an adventure for another season.
  • Seahawks OL coach Tom Cable confirmed Tuesday that Matt Tobin and Rees Odhiambo are battling for the starting job at left tackle.
The Seahawks acquired Tobin from Philadelphia after losing George Fant to a season-ending knee injury. Odhiambo will start Friday’s preseason game against Kansas City with Tobin coming off the bench. The rest of Seattle’s O line is mostly set with Luke Joeckel at left guard, Justin Britt at center, Germain Ifedi at right tackle and Mark Glowinski and Oday Aboushi competing at right guard.

    Seahawks waived OT Rees Odhimabo.
Seattle needed to make room for OL Jordan Simmons and CB Simeon Thomas, who were both claimed off waivers Sunday. Odhiambo drew seven starts last year before the Seahawks finally upgraded by acquiring LT Duane Brown from Houston. He earned PFF’s third-worst tackle grade out of 83 qualifiers in 2017.

Seahawks placed OT Reed Odhiambo on injured reserve with a pair of hand injuries, ending his season.
He needs surgery. With the addition of LT Duane Brown last week, it pushed Odhiambo to the bench where he really belonged after opening the season as the starter. Odhiambo is signed through 2019 on his rookie deal.

Seahawks selected Boise State OG Rees Odhiambo with the No. 97 overall pick in the 2016 NFL draft.
Odhiambo (6'4/314) made 25 starts for the Broncos, manning the blind side and earning first-team All-Mountain West as a senior. That was despite fracturing his ankle eight games into the 2015 season. Injury riddled, Odhiambo never played a full season at Boise State. When healthy, Odhiambo is a heavy-handed power player whose game may fit best inside in the NFL. Odhiambo’s poor Pro Day numbers suggest he’s still in the recovery process.

Seahawks LT Rees Odhiambo (chest) returned to practice on Wednesday.
Odhiambo wound up in the hospital after suffering a chest injury in Sunday night’s win over Indianapolis but is already doing much better. Barring a setback, he should be on track to start against the Rams in Week 5. He’s graded as PFF’s worst tackle through four weeks.

Coach Pete Carroll said LT Rees Odhiambo (chest) is a game-time decision for Week 5 against the Rams.
Seahawks OL coach Tom Cable also expects him to start. Odhiambo was hospitalized following Sunday night’s win over the Colts, but has been trending toward playing. It’s good news for Russell Wilson, though Odhiambo has graded near the bottom of PFF’s ratings through four weeks.
