    Raiders waived CB Ron Parker.
Parker made zero tackles in three games this season. He’s likely to end up back on the practice squad as long as he clears waivers.
  • FA Defensive Back #38
Raiders promoted CB Ron Parker from the practice squad.
A pretty good indication FS Michael Huff (concussion) will be inactive for Week 4. An undrafted free agent out of Newberry College, Parker will be making his NFL debut if he’s active on Sunday.
  • FA Defensive Back #38
Former Chiefs S Ron Parker announced his retirement from the NFL after eight seasons.
Parker spent last year out of the league. Undrafted out of Division II Newberry College, Parker spent six of his eight seasons with Kansas City. The 32-year-old will cash in his NFL chips with 394 tackles and 11 interceptions to his credit. He accomplished those numbers over 105 lifetime appearances including 78 starts.

Seahawks placed CB Ron Parker (undisclosed) on injured reserve, ending his season.
A Google search turns up no news on Parker’s injury, only a picture of him celebrating a punt-block touchdown with Michael Robinson. The special teamer’s injury presumably occurred later in Monday night’s game.
  • FA Linebacker #56
Panthers placed LB Kenny Onatolu on injured reserve with a torn triceps, ending his season.
CB Ron Parker was promoted from the practice squad to take his roster spot. A special teams ace, Onatolu had five tackles in four games this season. He’s signed through 2014.
  • FA Defensive Back #38
Panthers signed CB Ron Parker from their practice squad.
This is a depth move with Chris Gamble listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game against the Seahawks. The Panthers will likely turn to Josh Thomas in place of Gamble with Captain Munnerlyn remaining the nickel back. Thomas is in his second year and has played just five defensive snaps in his career.
  • FA Defensive Back #38
    Panthers waived CB Ron Parker.
Signed off the practice squad just two days ago, Parker was active for Sunday’s win, notching one tackle. He’ll presumably be stashed back on the practice squad provided he clears waivers.
  • FA Defensive Back #38
Seahawks signed CBs Ron Parker and DeShawn Shead.
Parker was on the Panthers’ practice squad, while Shead was on Seattle’s. The moves were made after the announcement that starting CB Brandon Browner had dropped his appeal of his four-game suspension for violating the league’s PED policy. Walter Thurmond III will start in Browner’s place. With fellow starter Richard Sherman in danger of being suspended for Week 15, it’s possible Parker and Shead could both eventually be in for snaps on defense. For now, they should be limited to special teams.
  • FA Defensive Back #38
Seahawks claimed CB Ron Parker off waivers from the Raiders.
The 24-year-old Parker spent training camp in Seattle before surfacing on Oakland’s practice squad, and later the active roster. Parker played mostly safety at Newberry College, but has been a cornerback so far in the pros.

Free agent DB Ron Parker will visit the Bears on Wednesday.
A journeyman during the early portion of his career, Parker has found a robust market following a breakout 2014 season. Parker’s list of suitors includes the Giants, Dolphins, Jets, Falcons, Buccaneers and Chiefs, though the Bears have emerged as the clear front runner.
