According to Shams Charania and Anthony Slater of The Athletic, the Warriors are working out Ben McLemore and other veterans such as Kenneth Faried, Elfrid Payton and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson.
According to Charania and Slater, it’s common for Golden State to hold these types of workouts prior to training camp, so it’s hard to read too much into the team’s early September workouts. The Warriors have at least one roster spot available and potentially two if Andre Iguodala decides to retire. Of the players named in The Athletic’s report, McLemore would make the most sense thanks to his lights-out shooting from beyond the arc. Over the last four seasons, McLemore connected on 1.9 triples per game at a healthy 37.3% clip.

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson has signed a deal to play in Turkey.
His contract does have an NBA out clause, but he’ll have to make quite the impression to find his way back to the league.

  • FA Power Forward #2
The Trail Blazers are going to sign Rondae Hollis-Jefferson for the remainder of the season, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Hollis-Jefferson hasn’t been much of a factor fantasy-wise since signing with the Blazers. He gives the team another body to call on in certain spots, but this is more about him being a good locker room guy than what he brings to the table numbers-wise.

  • LAC Small Forward #55
Updating a previous report, Derrick Jones Jr. (hip) will not play on Wednesday vs. the Nuggets.
Terry Stotts said he was expecting DJJ to play during his pregame media availability, but the opposite will be true. Carmelo Anthony and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson will split his minutes tonight, with Melo being the preferable target.

  • MIL Point Guard #0
Damian Lillard (hamstring) and Jusuf Nurkic (rest) have been ruled out for Tuesday’s game vs. the Clippers.
This will be the third straight game on the sidelines for Lillard, and it’s unclear at the moment exactly how much longer he’ll be out. With both Lillard and Nurkic watching from the sidelines tomorrow night, we’ll see C.J. McCollum and Norman Powell doing the heavy lifting on offense while Enes Kanter could be headed for a spot-start. Derrick Jones Jr. and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson have both received spot-start sans Dame, but neither guy has had an impact as a starter.

  • FA Power Forward #2
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson didn’t do much through 22 minutes as a starter on Sunday, finishing with seven points, five rebounds, one assist and nothing else in a loss to Charlotte.
Hollis-Jefferson got the spot-start over Derrick Jones Jr. tonight with Damian Lillard (hamstring) unavailable, and he got his first bucket on an alley-oop from Jusuf Nurkic within the first two minutes of play, something DJJ wasn’t able to do through 19 minutes as a starter on Friday. RHJ was marginally better than DJJ as a starter, but he’s certainly not worth grabbing in fantasy hoops. Jones Jr. was a DNP-CD, so you can feel confident continuing to ignore him.

  • FA Power Forward #2
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson will make his first start for the Blazers on Sunday, according to coach Terry Stotts.
Derrick Jones Jr. should return to the bench after a scoreless dud in 19 minutes as a starter on Friday. There won’t be a ton of offense coming RHJ’s way but with a rock-bottom DFS salary he’s at least worth considering as a punt play.

  • FA Power Forward #2
The Blazers have signed Rondae Hollis-Jefferson to a second 10-day contract, the team announced.
Hollis-Jefferson has appeared in two games for Portland since signing his first 10-day contract on April 8, posting averages of 2.0 points, 0.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists per. He’s a non-factor as far as fantasy basketball is concerned.

  • FA Power Forward #2
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson is available to play in Saturday’s game against the Pistons.
Hollis-Jefferson was a recent addition to the Blazers roster and, with Jusuf Nurkic sidelined, he could get some time off the bench. That won’t be enough to make him a player worth picking up off of the waiver wire, however.

  • FA Power Forward #2
The Blazers plan to sign forward Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, according to Stadium’s Shams Charania.
Hollis-Jefferson gives the Blazers some veteran depth at the forward spots, with the defensive versatility to step into almost any assignment. Even if he manages to crack the rotation, though, he won’t be a fantasy asset.
