Ronnie Williams has signed a one-year contract with the Kia Tigers of the Korea Baseball Organization.
Williams, a former second-round selection by the Cardinals back in 2014, spent last season in the upper-levels of the Giants’ minor-league system, posting a 2.77 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 69/36 K/BB ratio across 78 innings (29 appearances, five starts) between Double-A Richmond and Triple-A Sacramento. The 25-year-old righty will look to build up his value overseas in Korea next season.
