    Raiders signed QB Sawyer Robertson.
Robertson’s (6’4”/218) measurables and arm strength are NFL-caliber, but the accuracy leaves much to be desired. The fifth-year prospect never completed more than 62.2 percent of his passes in any season, although the raw counting totals in his final two seasons at Baylor are solid. In his two full seasons as a starter, Robertson threw for 6,752-59-20, but it’s hard to get around the career completion percentage when stacked against recent QB classes. While he’s proven serviceable in the short areas of the field, Robertson’s 47.4 competition percentage on intermediate passes, per PFF, ranks near the bottom of over 180 QB prospects since 2015, and he completed just 48.4 percent of his intermediate passes last season. Robertson’s traits are enough to make him a potential developmental project, but after struggling to develop his reads and accuracy for five collegiate seasons, it seems unlikely he’ll take enough of a step to hang around in the pros.

Mississippi State freshman QB Sawyer Robertson is performing well throughout spring practice.
Robertson (6'4/210) has shown a lot of promise since he originally committed to the Bulldogs back in 2020. The signal-caller, who has experience in the Air Raid, recorded a solid day of spring practice this past Thursday, according to Crissy Froyd of Sports Illustrated. Per her practice report, Robertson was 13-of-18 through skel with three touchdowns and was 9-of-11 with one touchdown through the team period.

Mississippi State received a verbal commitment from four-star 2021 QB Sawyer Robertson.
Mississippi State HC Mike Leach tapped into his Lubbock links for this one, as Robertson (6'3/190) has decided to leave the Lone Star State to play in the SEC. The four-star quarterback will play two sports at the collegiate level, as he’s also a valued baseball recruit. The Coronado HS junior picked Mississippi State over offers from Arizona State, Arkansas and Florida State just name three. Robertson, one of the top quarterback prospects in the 2021 class, was compared to current Giants QB Davis Webb by 247Sports recruiting analyst Gabe Brooks. Mississippi State now has five verbal commitments in 2021 with two, Robertson and three-star Daniel Greek, being quarterbacks.
