    Panthers released WR Seth Roberts.
Panthers GM Marty Hurney reportedly tried to trade Roberts but failed to lure any nibbles. He finishes his tenure in Carolina with four catches for 31 yards across seven games. Keith Kirkwood will continue playing behind Curtis Samuel in the slot when needed.

  • FA Wide Receiver #11
Panthers signed WR Seth Roberts, formerly of the Ravens.
Like most of Baltimore’s wide receivers, Roberts suffered career-lows in targets (35), catches (21), and receiving yards (271) as the team’s rarely looked to perimeter option in three-wide sets last year. There are already enough mouths to feed in Carolina, but Roberts could potentially carve out a slot role over Jarius Wright given his history in that spot with the Raiders before jumping ship. He won’t be a fantasy option anytime soon.
  • FA Wide Receiver #11
Ravens signed WR Seth Roberts, formerly of the Raiders, to a one-year contract.
The deal is pending a physical. Roberts, who had been on the Raiders’ roster seemingly since the team’s inception, was finally let go on Thursday but took only 24 hours to resurface. He joins a paper-thin Baltimore receiving corps featuring Willie Snead, Chris Moore and not much else. Roberts would seem to have a good chance of starting in Baltimore, though judging by last year’s run-centric scheme, the Ravens probably won’t do much throwing in 2019.
  • FA Wide Receiver #11
Raiders WR Seth Roberts caught 2-of-4 targets for 20 yards and a touchdown in Oakland’s Week 14 upset of Denver.
Joining Mike Wallace, Roberts became just the second opposing wide receiver to score a touchdown on the Broncos this season, getting the better end of a matchup with Broncos RCB Bradley Roby on a red-zone pass. Roberts has value to the Raiders’ offense as a sub-package receiver, but he lacks fantasy value beyond deeper Dynasty leagues. Roberts will turn 25 in February.
  • FA Wide Receiver #11
Seth Roberts caught 2-of-6 passes for 37 yards in the Raiders’ Week 16 win over the Chargers.
33 of Roberts’ yards came on a clutch overtime grab where he put the Raiders in position for what would prove to be the game-winning field goal. Making plays both as a deep threat and chain mover, Roberts is a sleeper to keep an eye on heading into 2016.
  • FA Wide Receiver #11
Seth Roberts caught all three of his targets for 20 yards Week 17 against the Chiefs.
Roberts did not get his first catch until the fourth quarter, but it was a beautiful, back-shoulder grab which converted a long third down. Roberts was never a consistent member of the offense, but he popped up with a couple big games including a 6/113/2 line against the Titans in Week 12. Roberts finishes with 32 catches for 480 yards and five scores. An exclusive rights free agent, Roberts will be back as the No. 3 receiver in Oakland next season. He is an interesting hold in deeper Dynasty formats.
  • FA Wide Receiver #11
Seth Roberts exited Week 15 against the Packers with an abdominal strain and will not return.
Roberts dropped his lone target of the day, which would have gone for an 11-yard touchdown. The Raiders have turned to Andre Holmes as the No. 3 receiver.
  • FA Wide Receiver #11
Raiders extended a tender to exclusive rights free agent WR Seth Roberts.
Oakland also tendered DE Denico Autry, DE Shelby Harris, LB Korey Toomer and TE Gabe Holmes. As an ERFA, Roberts either has to accept the offer or leave the NFL. Roberts played a surprisingly large role last season, catching 32 passes for 480 yards and five touchdowns. He should open the offseason program as the clear No. 3 behind Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree.
  • FA Wide Receiver #11
Raiders re-signed exclusive rights free agent WR Seth Roberts.
He’ll make the minimum salary for a third-year player. Beating out Rod Streater for the Raiders’ third receiver job last year, Roberts tallied 32 catches for 480 yards and five touchdowns while spending most of his time in the slot. The 25-year-old out of West Alabama is worth rostering in Dynasty leagues as a surefire starter if Amari Cooper or Michael Crabtree went down.
  • FA Wide Receiver #11
Seth Roberts caught 2-of-3 targets for 22 yards in the Raiders’ Week 5 win over the Chargers.
Neither of his grabs was very noticeable. Roberts continues to be a distant third option behind alpha dogs Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree. He’ll find the end zone here and there, but Roberts is more of a WR5.
