Mesut Ozil has changed his number for country, and now he wants to do the same for his club.

Arsenal’s German midfielder is No. 10 for his national team, and wants to take Jack Wilshere’s digits with the midfielder on loan to Bournemouth for the rest of the season.

“The number is right for me and my position as a playmaker,” he said.

Ozil said he’s always loved the number, citing its place on the back of Zinedine Zidane, Pele, and Diego Maradona.

It’s a fitting number for him, and surely would sell a bunch of new jerseys, so we imagine Arsenal will find a way to make this happen at the Emirates Stadium.
