Aston Villa’s hopes of Premier League safety are on the thinnest thread after falling 2-1 to visiting Bournemouth on Saturday at Villa Park.
The Villans are 15 points back of safety with five matches remaining, and would have to make up 19 goals worth of differential as well. Jordan Ayew scored for Villa.
Steve Cook and Joshua King scored for the Cherries, who move 11th with 41 points.

Bournemouth nabbed their opener off a corner when Cook back flicked the service a la Jamie Vardy for England, giving the Cherries their early lead.
The relegation was a fait accomplit, and still us, but Norwich fell to Crystal Palace to equal Villa’s output.
Ayew beat Boruc with a low effort to make it interesting in the 83rd minute, but the equalizer did not arrive at Villa Park.
