Alex Song’s return to the Premier League last season was certainly a success, as the former Arsenal man went on loan to West Ham and brought steel and creativity to Sam Allardyce’s side.
And it seems Song, 27, will be heading back to West Ham full time if the Barcelona man can show he’s healing up well.

West Ham co-owner David Sullivan was on a podcast this week and said the club is willing to risk signing Song before he’s ready to pass a full medical.
From the BBC:“We just hope the medical shows he’s in a sufficient state for us to gamble,” West Ham co-owner David Sullivan told the Knees Up Mother Brown Podcast.
“He couldn’t physically pass a medical tomorrow, but if the medics say it’s just a technical thing and he’s only a couple of weeks away you’d take that gamble and hope they’re right.”
Makes sense if you trust your doctors, and if you don’t trust your doctors you’re either ignorant or a lunatic for employing doctors you don’t trust.
The idea of Song and Dmitri Payet in the same central midfield is really, really attractive. Hammers boss Slaven Bilic must be ready to roar.
