Christian Benteke’s fallout at Liverpool continues with the striker unsure on his future after being “ignored” by manager Jurgen Klopp.

Just earlier this week Benteke was linked with a possible move to West Ham as speculation continues to grow that he will leave Liverpool after just one season with the club.

Benteke has fallen down the pecking order with the return of Daniel Sturridge from injury, with Klopp also preferring to play the young Divock Origi in place of Benteke.

Speaking to Belgium’s Sport/Voetbalmagazine while on duty with the national team, the struggling striker said that while he wants to succeed at Anfield, he will have to make a decision on his future at the end of the season.

Some team-mates have said I was lucky with the arrival of Klopp, because I certainly would play.

When your coach says he wanted to take you to Dortmund and a little later you sit at the same club and he ignores you it is hard to understand.

In January I didn’t want to leave and it’s still my desire to succeed at Liverpool. We’ll see at the end of the season.

When asked the question whether or not he fit into Klopp’s system, Benteke said he found that belief “bizarre” and that “It is not that we play in the Barcelona style.”

Benteke came to Liverpool under immense pressure after the club spent $50 million for the former Aston Villa goalscorer, and with his struggles and Brendan Rodgers’ sacking, the criticism has only increased.
