Okay, so this goal hasn’t got anywhere near as much press as it should have done today.

Let’s set the scene.

Club America are facing Cruz Azul in the Liga MX final at the Azteca. Cruz Azul are 2-0 up on aggregate in the 89th minute of the second leg.

Colombian captain Aquivaldo Mosquera pulls one back, then Club America goalkeeper Moises Munoz came forward for a corner... and scored a diving header that deflected in to send the game to overtime.

Cue scenes of utter delirium.

The game went into overtime and America beat their fierce Mexico City rivals on penalty kicks, the national title was their first since 2005.

Wow. What a way to win it.

Watch the highlights below to see Munoz’ goal and the rest of the incredible action.

Sidenote: Which ‘keeper has scored the best goal in soccer history? Jose Luis Chilavert? Tim Howard? Peter Schmeichel? Or someone else? Let us know.
