Harry Kane will finish second in the Premier League’s goal race after his 24th minute goal lifted Spurs over Saints and Liverpool in the race for fifth on Sunday at Goodison Park.

Everton could only manage one shot on target, dipping to 11th in what can only be described as a disappointing season.

Spurs finish two points ahead of Liverpool and six back of the Top Four.

Kane nodded home an Eric Dier cross to give Spurs a lead, and Tottenham controlled possession for most of the match in holding on for all three points.

Spurs came closer to adding a second than the Toffees to nabbing an equalizer. There were moments of excitement in the game, but all-in-all it was one to write off.
