Esteban Cambiasso spent just one season at Leicester City, but he is a beloved figure at the King Power Stadium.

The Argentine was named the club’s Player of the Year last season and helped the Foxes survive relegation, but turned down an offer to return to the KP. Now, he’s headed to Greece.

The 34-year-old midfielder will join Olympiakos, who have won the Greek Superleague five consecutive seasons. At Olympiakos, Cambiasso will be able to play in the Champions League, which he won with Inter Milan in 2010.

Cambiasso has had a storied career throughout Europe, winning a La Liga title with Real Madrid before claiming five Serie A trophies and the Champions League title with Inter Milan. He also played in the 2006 World Cup with Argentina.

Cambiasso was one of Nigel Pearson’s favorite players at Leicester, a general in the midfield with a tireless work ethic, despite getting up there in age. However, after Pearson got sacked, Cambiasso announced he would not be returning to the Foxes.
