Fulham manager Felix Magath is putting the late in late-season signing, bringing back Malian midfielder Mahamadou Diarra for the last seven matches of a survival push.
Diarra, 32, spent the previous two seasons with the Cottagers. He played in 19 matches, scoring once, after arriving from AS Monaco.
Prior to that, he had played four-plus seasons with Real Madrid, four-plus at Lyon, and three at Vitesse.
Could Diarra combine with Lewis Holtby and Steve Sidwell to calm the Londoners’ midfield as they attempt to pull off another “great escape”?
Fulham is home to Everton on Saturday before a six-game run to end its season that sees the club face Aston Villa, Norwich City, Spurs, Hull City, Stoke City and Crystal Palace. The Cottagers are four points away from safety.
