While Wilfried Bony scores most of the goals for Swansea City, it’s Gylfi Sigurdsson who may be their most important player.
Through 15 matches, Sigurdsson has been a revelation for Gary Monk’s side, helping the Swans climb to eighth on the table.

After two years at Tottenham Hotspur, the Icelandic international returned to Wales this summer, where he played on loan in 2012.
With a tireless work rate, the midfielder has already tallied eight assists on the season in 1273 minutes played. Last season for Spurs, Sigurdsson had no assists in 1276 minutes.
Sigurdsson’s eight helpers are good for second in the Premier League, only behind Chelsea’s midfield maestro Cesc Fabregas.

The Icelandic international attributed his strong form to Garry Monk playing him in a more central role, compared to playing down the left-hand side for Tottenham.
As Sigurdsson prepares to face his former club this Sunday, his manager believes the midfielder could have a chip on his shoulder to prove some people wrong.
Despite his personal ties to the match, there are bigger things to worry about as three points are on the line at Liberty Stadium. Swansea currently sit one point ahead of Tottenham on the table, making this matchup crucial for both sides.
