Neither side wanted this for oh-so-many reasons.

Arsenal and Hull City are headed to the KC Stadium for a replay, congesting the schedules of two teams with very different goals, after Tigers keeper Eldin Jakupovic made several key stops in a 0-0 draw Saturday at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners want to be the first team to win three-straight FA Cups since the 1886 Blackburn Rovers, but also know they have a massive ask in trying to unseat Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League while also aiming for the Premier League title.

Hull is hoping to earn automatic promotion back to the Premier League, and currently have a three-point cushion on the field in the Championship Division.

So both sides went with weakened lineups, both had chances to advance, and both got what they least wanted: a replay.

It was the third-straight season the Tigers and Gunners met in the FA Cup, the first being Arsenal’s 2014 Cup win at Wembley Stadium.
