Bradford Jamieson IV is a talented 18-year-old who has already shone for the LA Galaxy and the U.S. national team at youth level.

But not one to settled for dominating on the soccer pitch, Jamieson is ready to hit the books and work on his college degree while he continues his professional career with the LA Galaxy.
Jamieson, 18, has made huge strides with Bruce Arena’s side this season, scoring once in just his second start away at the New York Red Bulls and he made five appearances throughout April and May. After suffering a second concussion of the season during a match in July, Jamieson is currently sidelined but is working his way back to a return at the StubHub Center.

The teenager has been spending his time on the sidelines to make some plans for the future and after turning down a scholarship at the University of California to go pro 18 months ago, Jamieson is now taking classes at Santa Monica College, with his first class this semester Mass Media. He plans to major in Fashion and will work to completing his degree alongside his fledgling soccer career.
Speaking to MLSSoccer.com, Jamieson revealed that there was one thing that distracted him through most of High School life: streaming websites full of soccer games.

Didn’t mean to distract you from that degree young man, but you know better than most that there’s always room for some soccer in among all of that studying.
On a serious note, Kudos to Jamieson for working on his education while he also continues to make strides as one of the brightest young forwards in MLS. Only last week I was chatting with the head coach of the U.S. Olympic squad, Andi Herzog, about the young strikers he has in his pool of players and he singled out Jamieson’s injury as a big blow for his side after the speedy forward impressed for Tab Ramos’ U-20 side at the World Cup over the summer.
Here’s to hoping he’s back on the field soon as the talented 18-year-old from California clearly has a bright future ahead of him. On and off the field.
