Leicester City’s success in the Premier League will have many spin-offs.
This could be the coolest.

According to a report in The Times newspaper in the UK, if the Foxes win the Premier League then Leicester’s mayor, Sir Peter Soulsby, plans to re-name streets across the East Midlands city in honor of the players and manager.
That’s right, get ready to walk down “Ranieri Road” or “Vardy Vale” or “Drinkwater Drive” or even “Schmeichel Street” in the future.

The report states that instead of just renaming a few streets after key players like Jamie Vardy and Kasper Schmeichel, plus manager Claudio Ranieri, the mayor wants to honor the entire squad.
After being in Leicester last weekend to see their crucial 1-0 win over Southampton and witness the reaction from fans and citizens of the city, it’s easy to see the huge impact Leicester’s unexpected success has had on the people of Leicester this season.
Leicester already has a “Linker Way” named after club legend Gary Lineker, and this plan would truly immortalize those at the center of this remarkable season for the Foxes.
With six games to go they are seven points clear at the top of the Premier League, with Ranieri’s side needing just four wins to seal the deal.
Remember, Leicester had odds of 5000-1 to win the title before the season and were relegation favorites but now they’re on the brink of winning their first-ever top-flight title in their 132-year history.
That fact, among many other things, is why renaming streets in the city after this group makes plenty of sense.
