For the first time in its American tour, Manchester United found itself on the losing end of an International Champions Cup match.

After beating San Jose, Club America and Barcelona, the Red Devils found it tough sledding against Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Blaise Matuidi and Paris Saint-Germain at Soldier Field in Chicago on Wednesday.

PSG also has three wins on North American soil after beating Benfica and Fiorentina. The Parisian side also drew Chelsea in regulation before losing in kicks.

Matuidi rambled onto the end of a long diagonal ball and took advantage of David De Gea’s hesitance, slapping the ball past the keeper to make it 1-0 in the 26th minute.

Ibrahimovic made it 2-0 less than 10 minutes later, cutting through the middle of the 18 to touch a Maxwell cross past De Gea.

Halftime substitutions including Andreas Pereira gave some life to United, but the Red Devils still couldn’t find the back of the net despite decent efforts from Memphis Depay and Wayne Rooney.
