The 30-year-old World Cup champion will undergo surgery, but is keeping her spirits up despite a strong chance she’ll miss this summer’s Olympics in Rio.

It’s a major blow for the United States’ hopes for gold.

“I want everyone to know that I’ll be fine, and that I’m currently accepting any recommendations for TV shows to binge watch and great restaurants that deliver in Seattle. I’m also going to get really good at FIFA 16.”

It’s the third ACL tear for Rapinoe -- the first two were in her left knee -- who could also miss the entire NWSL season for Seattle Reign.

Rapinoe’s bright personality has made her one of the most likable players in the world. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
