Manuel Pellegrini knows he’s at a pretty big club at the moment, and the 61-year-old Chilean manager knows that with a big club comes near-non-stop rumors about transfer comings and going — most of which are baseless and completely fabricated.

With that in mind, surely one of the world’s richest clubs — and English club, at that — would be interested in Liverpool’s Raheem Sterling, should the talented 20-year-old be made available this summer, right? Right?
Though logic and common sense would quickly point to the answering being, “yes,” Pellegrini wouldn’t come close to taking the bait when asked about the rumors that Manchester City were interested in Sterling (above video):“I think the whole year at this club, you have a lot of rumors … I said the other day, ‘Just one English player [that we have interest in], but it doesn’t mean we are interested in some players.
