Liverpool 2-1 West Brom - Recap

Adam Lallana produced a wonderful bit of skill right on half time to break the deadlock. The England winger cut in from the left with an audacious bit of skill, played a lovely one-two with Jordan Henderson and drilled home a low shot for his first Liverpool goal to put the Reds ahead. Saido Berahino was the brought down by Dejan Lovren and a PK was awarded, even though the foul looked to be outside the box. Berahino scored from the spot but Henderson slotted home the game-winner to give Liverpool their first PL win since August.

Aston Villa 0-2 Manchester City- Recap

Yaya Toure answered plenty of critics by curling home a beautiful left-footed shot with eight minutes to go to give Man City all three points. Aston Villa hung on for most of the match with City rattling the woodwork twice and Sergio Aguero scored a great goal towards the end to wrap up all three points. City are now in second, two points behind leaders Chelsea.

Sunderland 3-1 Stoke City - Recap

Exciting clash at the Stadium of Light as Sunderland went ahead through Conor Wickham but Charlie Adam equalized soon after. Steven Fletcher headed home before the break to make it 2-1 and Sunderland defended their lead superbly. Fletcher wrapped things up late in the game as the Scotman tapped home from close range to hand Gus Poyet’s side their first win of the campaign.

Leicester City 2-2 Burnley - Recap

The Foxes went ahead thanks to Jeffrey Schlupp’s opener but Burnley equalized just before half time with their first goal in almost 11 hours of play, Michael Kightly prodded that home. However, just 93 seconds later Leicester were back in front as Riyad Mahrez headed home his first PL goal. A tight second half played out and Burnley equalized in the 96th minute courtesy of Ross Wallace’s stunning free kick. A desered point for the Clarets but they’re still searching for a win.

Swansea City 2-2 Newcastle United - Recap

Another team still waiting for a win is Newcastle but Alan Pardew’s men battled back bravely, twice, to grab a point in South Wales. Wilfried Bony gave the Swans the lead and they should have been out of sight after missing several good chances. Papiss Cisse popped up to equalize just before half time but Wayne Routledge put Swansea ahead just after the break. Late on Cisse struck again to make it 2-2 and the Magpies could have won it late on. No win in seven for Pardew but his team are battling for him.

Hull City 2-0 Crystal Palace - Recap

A second half surge saw the Tigers maul the Eagles and pick up their first home win of the season. Mohamed Diame scored with a header (his third goal in his first four games for Hull) to open the scoring and Nikica Jelavic sealed the win late on. Hull up to eighth in the standings as Palace lost for the first time under Neil Warnock.
