After finishing last season on a nine-match win streak and starting this season on a 27-match unbeaten run, PSG finally dropped a league match on Sunday, falling to Lyon 2-1.

The Parisians had gotten off to an incredible start to the domestic season, compiling a record of 23 wins and 4 draws from their opening 27 matches.
Maxwell Cornet and Sergi Darder each scored to give Lyon a 2-0 lead at the break, and while Lucas Moura tallied in the 51st minute to cut the deficit in half, PSG was unable to find an equalizer.

While the loss ends PSG’s dream of an “Invincible” season, it won’t hurt their title hopes. With ten matches to play, Zlatan & Co. still hold a 23-point lead at the top of the table.
