Since his stunning displays from midfield, the man they call “the octopus” has been linked with several big moves away from reigning Italian champions Juventus.

With Real Madrid, Manchester City, Chelsea and former club Manchester United among the reported suitors for Pogba’s services, his agent Mino Raiola has spoken to Spanish publication Marca about when Real tried to sign Pogba for $50 million just a year ago but that price has now doubled.

“Back when they had their chance, they didn’t really know who Pogba was. Other clubs did. Real didn’t want to pay 10 million euros for him and just a year ago refused to pay 30 million euros for him,” Raiola said. “We spoke in Qatar. ‘Why pay 30 million euros if soon he can come for free?’ they asked. He ended up renewing his contract. If they want Pogba, they can call me. I’m not going to call anyone there. He’s worth more than 100 million euros, but the price will be set by the club that buys him.”

That price tag of around $113 million would make Pogba the fourth most-expensive transfer in soccer history, only behind Gareth Bale, Cristiano Ronaldo and Luis Suarez.

Pogba is a great young player who has played regularly for Juve in Serie A after arriving in 2011 from Manchester United on a free transfer. The Frenchman has been in an integral part of Juve’s last two Scudetto wins but it is believed they Turin club are willing to cash in on their key midfielder this summer with his market value continuing to soar.

Is anybody willing to stump up the $113 million for Juve to part with Pogba? He would be a great fit for the powerful, box-to-box midfielder Manchester United are on the hunt for. But would the Red Devils be willing to splash out $113 million for a player that let leave Old Trafford for free less than five years ago?

Get ready for Pogba’s name to dominate the back pages of newspapers this summer, as the French youngster is a man in demand and the hottest young central midfielder in the world.
