Reeling Palace loses steady midfielder McArthur for season

When it comes to Crystal Palace’s struggles, the hits keep on coming at Selhurst Park.

Reliable midfielder James McArthur -- he of the 1933 minutes, 2 goals and 2 assists -- is out for the season with torn ligaments in his ankle.

The 28-year-old Scottish center midfielder was injured in Tuesday’s 2-1 defeat versus Bournemouth.

Palace has dropped to 12th in the Premier League after a remarkable start to the season, and is 10 points off the relegation zone. The Eagles have lost five-straight PL matches.
