According to The Sun, England manager Gareth Southgate has called up Sunderland goalkeeper Jordan Pickford to replace injury Burnley shot-stopper Tom Heaton.

Pickford was originally tabbed to join the England U-21s, however Southgate opted for the youngster to link up with the senior side as they prepare to face Slovenia on Monday.

The 22-year-old has started in five Premier League matches this season for the Black Cats, making 27 saves in the process for the relegation side.
