Robinho being investigated for sexually assaulting teenager

Robinho

AC Milan attacker Robinho, currently on loan in Brazil at Santos FC, is under investigation by Milan police for an alleged sexual assault of an 18-year-old woman, according to Italian publication Corriere della Sera.

According to the report, Robinho was one of a group of men who allegedly abused her after meeting her in a restaurant where several friends were having dinner, along with Robinho’s wife.

The story says his wife left early, and later Robinho and a group of five men later took the girl to an unknown location to assault her.

The girl waited six months to report the incident, and according to the reports, there are “some doubts” with her story.

Stefano Amendola, a Milan prosecutor, is leading the investigation and reportedly requested that Robinho be arrested while in Brazil, but the request was denied by a judge. Police questioned Robinho on the incident, and he strongly denies anything happened.

In 2009, while playing for Manchester City, Robinho was also investigated for sexual assault in a Leeds nightclub, but charges were dropped a few months later by West Yorkshire Police.
