The champs are going back to the playoffs thanks to a sensational goal from Graham Zusi, as Sporting KC beat the visiting Chicago Fire 2-0 on Friday night.

Scoreless in the 79th minute, Zusi danced in from the wing and sent Sean Johnson helplessly flying with a left-footed bullet into the top corner of the goal to make it 1-0 to the hosts.

It was Zusi’s fifth of the season, which isn’t quite 21. That’s what Dominic Dwyer accomplished in stoppage time off a Zusi assist.

KC joins DC as Eastern Conference teams to clinch a playoff berth. New England is one point away from the honor as well.

Here’s the Zusi goal. Great stuff from the Designated Player.
