With UEFA’s Financial Fair Play sanctions now lifted, Manchester City is set to spend big this summer.
The Telegraph is reporting that City will spend more than $150 million in the transfer window as they hope to reclaim the Premier League title from Chelsea. Worried that top target Paul Pogba could be headed to Barcelona, they are reportedly set to offer a massive $77 million to Wolfsburg for Kevin de Bruyne.

The 24-year-old Belgian was sold to the German side from Chelsea in January of 2014 and has flourished in the Bundesliga, being named player of the year this season. He had 21 assists on the year, nine more than any other player. City are also reportedly close to signing Fabian Delph, who is coming off a solid season at Aston Villa.
Another Belgian looks to be on the move as Tottenham are set to sign Toby Alderweireld from Atletico Madrid, according to the Daily Mail. The center back played last season on loan at Southampton and Saints were keen to make the move permanent, but it is being reported that Spurs have agreed to an $18 million fee for his services.
There was a clause in Alderweireld’s deal that would have allowed Southampton to buy him for $11 million, but after his strong season at St. Mary’s, Atletico bought-out that clause in order to sell the Belgian to the highest bidder.

Southampton could lose another top performer, as Manchester United continues to press for Morgan Schneiderlin. The Guardian is reporting that United will improve their previous offer of $30 million in order to bring the French midfielder to Old Trafford. Schneiderlin has been with Saints since their days in League One, but has expressed his desire to play Champions League football, which United could offer him.
Speaking with Neil Ashton at TalkSPORT, Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish has confirmed the Eagles are working on a deal to bring Yohan Cabaye to Selhurst Park. Cabaye played under Alan Pardew at Newcastle and is actively seeking a move away from Paris Saint-Germain, where he has failed to earn consistent minutes. A move back to the Premier League has long been rumored for the French international, in what Parish said would be a “massive” signing for Palace.
