Chelsea had gone 15 PL games unbeaten before this weekend -- 14 with interim boss Hiddink at the helm -- but Gylfi Sigurdsson’s effort in the first half was the difference in South Wales.
With the win Swansea have now won four of their last six games and move on to 40 points for the season, while Chelsea stay 10th on 44 points.

An even start to the game saw both teams look to possess the ball and Oscar had a good chance in the box from a short corner but prodded his effort over.
Sigurdsson went close with a curling effort which Asmir Begovic saved and then Angel Rangel dragged his shot wide of the far post after getting in down the right hand side of the box.

Swansea took the lead after 25 minutes when Jefferson Montero whipped in a tame cross that U.S. international Matt Miazga only half cleared and his weak header fell straight to Sigurdsson on the penalty spot who swept home. 1-0 to the Swans.

Miazga was taken off at half time with John Obi Mikel slotting into center back and Chelsea should’ve equalized minutes into the second half.
Pedro sped free down the left and his cross found Alexander Pato but he could only direct his clever back heel wide of the far post.

Swansea should have put the game to bed with the brilliant Montero heading over when he had to at least hit the target, but the Welsh outfit were good value for their three points as interim Swans boss Francesco Guidolin continues to strengthen his chances of getting the job permanently.
