Watford are closing in on signing Mario Suarez from Fiorentina. Sky Sports say that the Spanish midfielder, 28, has arrived at the Hornets’ training ground ahead of a reported $6 million move. Not bad for a Spanish international with UEFA Champions League experience. The central midfielder was coached by current Watford boss Quique Sanchez Flores during his time at Atletico Madrid and is eager to link up and help the Hertfordshire club secure its first-ever top 10 finish in the Premier League.

Manchester United is said to be interested in Feyenoord youngster Tahith Chong. The 16-year-old has told Dutch outlet FR12 that United wanted to sign him but that he’d rather stay in Holland and develop in the Eredivisie. Chong said: “Feyenoord is and remains my first choice and we are still negotiating. It’s true that Manchester United are interested in me, but I want to just stay at Feyenoord.”
The Daily Mail claim that a loan fee has been agreed between West Ham United and Fenerbache for Nigerian striker Emmanuel Emenike. The former Spartak Moscow forward, 28, will bolster Slaven Bilic’s forward line of Enner Valencia, Andy Carroll and Diafra Sakho. The latter two have been hit with injuries this season, while Nikica Jelavic has been told he can leave Upton Park. Emenike’s arrival would add considerable pace to the Hammers’ attack as the push for a top six finish in their final season at the Boleyn Ground.
