Manchester United are expected to be busy in January and yet another player has been linked with the Red Devils. This time it’s Italian international Claudio Marchisio. The 27-year-old would cost United around $30 million and would considerably strengthen their midfield core. Marchisio’s current club Juventus are keen to let him go for the right price, as they failed to qualify for the knockout stages of the Champions League and need to bring in funds to offset that accordingly.

Swansea City are the latest Premier League club to chase Blackpool’s young winger Tom Ince. The England U-21 winger looks set to move from the Seasiders in January and the Swans are fighting off fierce competition from Crystal Palace and Cardiff City for the exciting talent. A fee of $5-7 million is being mentioned, as Ince’s contract runs out in the summer and Blackpool want to recoup some cash for their prized possession.

Newcastle United are set to add to their French contingent at St. James’ Park, as Montpellier attacker Remy Cabella has stated his desire to join ‘Le Toon’ during the window. Cabella, 23, is highly thought of his native land and could cost the Magpies $18 million but would be well worth it. He would add creativity, poise and composure to the attacking midfield slot and compliment the likes of Yohan Cabaye and Cheick Tiote superbly.

Everton are set to buy Spartak Moscow winger Aiden McGeady, as the Republic of Ireland international is apparently flying into Merseyside for his medical. McGeady, 27, swapped Celtic for Spartak and has been able to showcase his tricky wing-play in the Champions League. McGeady could be available for free in the summer, but it’s unsure whether or not he will wait until then or arrive in January.

Tottenham could be moving on Argentine winger Erik Lamela, and are looking to recoup the $45 million they spent on him in the summer when he joined from Roma. That seems a little far fetched, but Juventus could offer cash plus Montenegrin striker Mirko Vucinic to sweeten the deal. Inter Milan were interested but think the price Spurs are offering for Lamlea is far too high. The 21-year-old winger has hardly featured since his massive summer switch, and it seems like six-months in London is all he can handle. A move back to Serie A beckons.
