Arsenal jumped out to a 1-0 first half lead over Chelsea in the FA Community Shield thanks to a brilliant finish from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
The Gunners had the better run of play to start the match, and were rewarded in the 24th minute when the 21-year-old winger fired a left-footed shot into the top corner.
Chamberlain took a pass from Theo Walcott on the right side of the box, cut past Cesar Azpilicueta to his left foot and gave Thibaut Courtois no chance of saving his shot as the Gunners’ supporters at Wembley went wild.
