Jozy Altidore captained the U.S. national team vs. Peru on Friday and the skipper stepped up to equalize after winning a penalty kick in the second half, then scored another to put the USMNT ahead.

A quick throw-in from Geoff Cameron found Altidore in the box just before the hour mark and as the Toronto FC forward tried to turn he was tripped in the box and the referee pointed to the spot.
Altidore saw his spot kick saved by Pedro Gallese but tucked home the rebound to draw the U.S. level, watch that below.

Altidore then scored his second less than 10 minutes later as Yedlin and Zardes created chaos in the box and Altidore tapped home his 29th goal for the U.S.
