Saturday should’ve been a day for Aston Villa to celebrate the win they so desperately craved, and captain Micah Richards scored an early goal to make it likely.

However, the League Two competition, Wycombe Wanderers, didn’t back down. Wycombe won a second-half penalty, converted it, and held on to force a replay back at Villa Park in the third round of the FA Cup.

Richards later subbed off, and got into a heated exchange with some Villa fans to the right of the players’ bench (Somewhat reminiscent of Borussia Dortmund last season).

Richards seems to argue, “We’re trying”, as Villa went on to draw and put Remi Garde in more trouble as he attempts to clean up Tim Sherwood’s mess in the West Midlands.
